YHC Undergrad Research Day is an event where nominated students are able to present a project they worked on during the semester.
I was tasked with designing a flyer and accompanying programs for the day of the event. This was open to all students in the Graphic Design track to participate in to see whose design would win.
Since this was a school event, my first priority was ensuring the school colors were promptly featured. I made sure to use CMYK colors, since these would be printed flyers, for the most accurate color match.
I wanted to represent all the majors presenting in a fun and minimal way so I utilized negative space for the bottom half of the flyer. I wanted to show how the school fosters these ideas in the students..

I wanted to show a slightly different version of the flyers when it came to the programs. I took out a majority of the icons and directed the flow to come out of the magnifying glass. I wanted the rest of the copy to be very minimal and clean to contrast the colorful illustrations.
