Roarchella was a music festival at Young Harris College.
I was tasked with creating advertising for the acts as well as paper goods to hand out to guests as a festival favor. The client wanted to match the aesthetic of the Coachella festival with something that could be carried through the rest of the designs. The client wanted something colorful and fun which also evoked the feelings of summer.

To give the impression of a day to night festival I went with a purple background and added orange lighting in muted tones. The client wanted to feature the school's mascot, the mountain lion, in some way.
I took inspiration from common festival wear and chose the sea-green hair as it would not only compliment the color scheme but also help her stand out.
Because the character is so recognizable, I made the take-home poster a simplified version of the audition flyer.
I made sure to adjust the copy to include the day the festival was to take place, so that it can serve as a great memento for those who attended, by attaching a date to the memory.
